Two people were hospitalized for smoke inhalation after a fire in a parking garage in a high-rise building in downtown Dallas, Texas.
Smoke was reported to be coming from the garage of the Thanksgiving Tower around 10 a.m. local time, according to the area NBC affiliate (http://bit.ly/1yVKCH8). An evacuation led to about 2,800 people being displaced during the incident.
The report said the fire was electrical in nature, meaning firefighters had to wait for the power to be disconnected before they could begin suppression operations.
The fire went to three alarms, and was extinguished by about 11.45 a.m.
