Pile of 3,000 Cars Burns in Dayton, Ohio

A pile of 3,000 cars approximately 50 feet high is burning in Dayton, Ohio, according to a report from the Dayton Daily News. Residents within a two-mile radius of the fire have been warned to stay inside because of fears of toxic smoke billowing from the fire at the Franklin Iron & Metal scrapyard.

Firefighters have contained the fire to a 300-square foot area, and Dayton Fire Chief Herb Redden says there are enough resources to fight the fire. The stench of burning rubber has engulfed certain neighborhoods. Read the complete story HERE and view a video from the scene below.
