Former Seattle Chief to Helm D.C. Fire and EMS

Gregory Dean, former chief of the Seattle (WA) Fire Department, has been named the new chief of D.C. Fire and EMS, according to news reports.

According to WUSA9 (http://on.wusa9.com/1M3Hwph), Gregory Dean worked in the Seattle fire department for a total of 44 years, with 10 of those years as chief.

Dean will step into the role following Eugene Jones, who’d been serving as interim fire chief after replaced the embattled chief Kenneth Ellerbe.
