On Friday, April 25, 2014 at approximately 1930 hours, the Dearborn (MI) Fire Department responded to a reported building on fire at 1035 Mason St.
Upon arrival of Car F-2, crews found a working fire in the basement of the two-story occupied bar.
Companies preformed an interior attack on the building. Command then requested a second alarm.
Due to heavy smoke conditions and high heat and with crews unable to locate the fire in the building, command ordered all companies out of the building and switched to defensive operations.
Companies operated in defensive mode for about four hours to bring this fire under control. Dearborn Fire Stations 1, 2, 3, and 4 responded to this incident.
