Dearborn (MI) Firefighters Rescue Woman, Pets from Fire

Firefighters rescued a woman, a cat, and a dog from a dwelling fire Saturday morning in Dearborn, Michigan.

The Press & Guide reported () that firefighters were called to the house on Westland Street at 7:55 a.m. and were told that the woman and pets were in the house. Two other people had escaped the house.

The Residential Rescue Sequence

The house was fully involved when firefighters arrived three minutes after receiving the call. Thye made entry in to find the woman. She was unresponsive in a back bedroom and was brought out through the front door.

She was taken to a hospital in serious condition, and the two others also were transported with minor injuries.

The cat had to be revived, but the dog appeared to be fine.
