Denver (CO) Firefighter Dies After Apparent Cardiac Arrest

A firefighter with the Denver (CO) Fire Department has passed away after suffering a cardiac event, the U.S. Fire Administration reported.

On September 20, 2021, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Technician Jeffrey Billingsley, 42, suffered an apparent cardiac arrest while on duty. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment by emergency room staff, but he did not regain consciousness and was pronounced deceased at approximately 4:00 p.m.
