Denver Firefighters Respond to Fire at Mile High Stadium

Denver (CO) firefighters responded to a fire that destroyed seats at Mile high Stadium on Thursday.

According to the department, sprinklers attempted to stop the fire, but firefighters were needed to complete extinguishment. Crews encountered heavy fire and smoke on arrival.

The cause of the fire at Empower Field was unknown at the time of this writing, but the fire affected has affected the suite area and the third level seating area. According to a post from Empower Field, the affected area of the stadium was quickly evacuated as a precaution and there were no injuries sustained.

Photos shared by Denver Fire Department on social media showed flames roaring through rows of seats.
