VFW Commander-in-Chief John W. Stroud was presented with a Henry Repeating Arms Military Service Tribute Rifle during the Joint Opening Session of the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ 116th National Convention. Anthony Imperato, President of Henry Repeating Arms, presented the rifle to thank VFW Commander-in-Chief Stroud for his service to our country and for his leadership service to our nation’s Veterans.
Mr. Imperato also recognized five distinguished veterans by inviting them to the stage to present them with a Military Service Tribute Rifle. United States Army Chief Warrant Officer Eugene L. Perrino, Sr.; United States Army Command Sergeant Major, Retired, Tim Green; United States Navy Third Class Radioman John Wrinkle; Air National Guard Retired Tech Sergeant Shannan F. Brown; and United States Marine 3rd Battalion Michael Depew were the recipients.
Imperato was so moved by the patriotism at the event that he surprised the VFW with a $50,000 donation. He told the crowd, “The donation is being made in honor of my father who served in the United States Army in Korea from 1953- 1955.”
