A fire destroyed a restaurant one block away from a fire station in Grantsville early Thursday morning, reports ksl.com.
The fire was reported about 4:45 a.m. at the Hickory Grill, 196 W. Main. The building was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived, and the roof had collapsed.
The official cause of the fire was not known Thursday morning, but it appears to have started in the kitchen, Marshall said.
No injuries were reported, but Marshall said the building, which has been in the community for years, is a total loss.
Fire crews were assigned to check the nearby Grantsville Elementary School and vent smoke out of it before students entered for school.
