Gulfport (MS) – One person was killed in an early morning house fire in Gulfport.

Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said an 82-year-old woman died during the fire which occurred in the 2100 block of 41st Avenue.

Hargrove said the fire was reported around 1 a.m. The house was fully engulfed in flames when Gulfport Fire responded to the call. It took about 20 minutes to get the flames extinguished, Hargrove said.
