Names of 208 Detroit firefighters were read during a a ceremony held to honor Detroit’s firefighters, reports The Detroit News.
The department has lost 114 members in the line of duty, said Detroit Fire Commissioner Eric Jones.
Detroit City Council member Janee Ayers said she has visited the Detroit Public Safety Headquarters many times and wondered why there was no memorial for fallen firefighters.
