Firefighters Battle Four-Alarm Brooklyn (NY) Fire

Fire Department of New York (FDNY) firefighters battled a four-alarm fire in the Cypress Hills section of Brooklyn, New York, on Saturday afternoon, November 22.

The fire began around 2:30 p.m. at an attached home at 85 Hemlock Street near Jamaica Avenue and quickly spread to adjoining homes.

One home was totally destroyed and three others suffered substantial damage.

Five firefighters were injured during the fire.

Red Cross personnel were on the scene to assist the displaced families.
