FDNY Crews Battle Three-Alarm Queens Apartment Fire

FirstOnScenePhotos shared some fireground photos of members of the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) responding to a Queens apartment fire that went to three alarms.

On Thursday, November 15, 2024, FDNY units in the Lindenwood section of of the borough operated at the Greenwood Arms apartment complex on 151st Street.

Firefighters could see heavy smoke from a distance as companies responded to the scene. Crews were met by heavy fire and smoke conditions on the top two floors of the seven-story, occupied multiple dwelling.

Residents had fled to the street and companies commenced fire operations. The incident took almost two hours to bring under control as numerous apartments in the large complex needed to be searched.

There were no serious injuries reported.
