FDNY Crews Control Two-Alarm Queens Fire in Excessive Heat

FirstOnScenePhotos shared some images of Fire Department of New York (FDNY) firefighters operating at the scene of a recent house fire in Queens.

A stubborn, smoky, two-alarm fire in a private dwelling brought FDNY companies from around the borough on Tuesday afternoon, July 9, 2024.

First-arriving companies were met by heavy smoke and fire at the two-and-a-half story home on 221st Street in Queens Village.

The fire quickly extended to an adjacent house, which necessitated a second alarm.

The excessive heat and humidity conditions hampered firefighting operations.
