FDNY Firefighters Battle 3-Alarm Bronx (NY) Commercial Fire

Fire Department of New York (FDNY) firefighters in the Bronx battled a stubborn three alarm fire at a Bedford Park laundry on Sunday, October 25.

FDNY units were called to the scene around 9:30 a.m. for a fire in a one-story commercial laundry.

The blaze quickly escalated and threatened a nearby church and large private dwelling.

Multi-versals and tower ladders were put into operation and the fire was eventually brought under control. Companies from throughout the borough responded to the scene, with three firefighters suffering minor injuries.
