FDNY Firefighters Respond to Five-Alarm Brooklyn Fire

FirstOnScenePhotos shared some photos of Fire Department of New York (FDNY) units responding to a fire that went to five alarms over the weekend in Brooklyn, New York.

Ten FDNY firefighters suffered minor injuries and multiple businesses were destroyed in a massive fire in the Williamsburg section on Sunday afternoon, August 20, 2023.

The first calls came around noontime for a fire in a store on Lee Avenue in Williamsburg.

The fast-moving fire quickly consumed adjoining stores, bringing more than 200 firefighters to the scene.

Extremely warm weather and a deep-seated fire hampered firefighting operations.

The incident took nearly three hours to bring under control.
