FDNY Stations Targeted in NYC Budget Cuts

Deep budget cuts set to be announced by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg could close down 20 Fire Department of New York (FDNY) companies tonight, according to the New York Post. The cuts will slash between $1.5 and $1.75 billion in costs overall, according to a spokesperson for the mayor, and are expected to include both cuts to services and job reductions.
