FEMA awards contracts for infrastructure support services
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded $300 million in contracts to three firms that will provide architectural and engineering services in connection with FEMA assistance for states and local governments following disasters declared by the President. The firms, awarded a $100 million contract over five years, are Fluor Daniel, Inc. (Irvine, Calif.); Emergency Response Program Management Consultants (Arlington, Va.); and Nationwide Infrastructure Support Technical Assistance Consultants (Fairfax, Va.).
The companies will manage, administer, and provide infrastructure support services at declared disaster sites. The scope of work will include evaluating infrastructure damage and preparing regulations, handbooks, brochures, and other policy guidance relating to FEMA`s infrastructure assistance activities.
These firms, according to FEMA, were chosen on the basis of technical excellence as prescribed by federal acquisition regulations for the selection of architectural and engineering services.
