FEMA Offers EMS Aid

The Federal Emergency Management Agency will provide a consultant service to improve the quality of advanced emergency medical care because of the increasing role that fire departments are playing in prehospital first aid.

With the cooperation of consultants specializing in EMS disciplines, FEMA’s USFA will provide this free service to individual communities. The technical support services program will help fire departments upgrade their emergency medical services.

For further information contact Mike Olsen, Director, Emergency Medical Services Office, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Washington, D.C. 20472 or Mary Newman, TSS Program Manager, ACT Foundation, Basking Ridge, N.J. 07960.
