A fire in the basement rifle range of a suburban Chicago VFW post started where a welder had been repairing a metal wall.
The Chicago Tribune (http://trib.in/L96yn3) reports that 10 people were injured during a fire Tuesday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2801 in Villa Park, Illinois.
The fire occurred at around 6:30 p.m. when about 70 people gathered at the post to play bingo.
Of the 10 people who were injured, four were still hospitalized Wednesday, and three of them had been or were expected to be released during the day.
Lt. Mike Barton of the Villa Park Fire Department said the fire spread rapidly when a welding tool ignited a spray-on foam material used for minimizing sound on the back of the metal wall.
