Charlotte firefighters battled a massive fire at a public storage facility in Southwest Charlotte on Monday. The fire, which extended to three alarms, broke out at the facility on South Tryon Street, just north of Westinghouse Boulevard at about 4 p.m., Queen City News reports.
Charlotte Fire crews responded with over 90 firefighters. The fire affected more than a dozen storage units and took 50 minutes to bring under control.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined, but fire officials are considering several possibilities, including electrical issues or something stored inside the units that may have caused the fire.
No one was injured in the fire.
