Fire Burns 17 Hours at Santa Fe Springs Paper Recycling Plant

A fire that had burned for more than 17 hours at a paper recycling plant in Santa Fe Springs had not been knocked down as of Friday morning, reports KTLA.

About 150 firefighters responded to the fire at Pan Pacific Fiber around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Downey fire stated.

No injuries were reported and the fire continued to burn as of Friday at noon.

Units who responded to the scene included Santa Fe Springs, Downey, Compton, Vernon firefighters and an L.A. County Fire bulldozer, according to Downey fire.
