East Petersberg (PA) – Crews battled a fire overnight at Burger King in East Petersburg. A worker in a Northwest EMS ambulance passing by the restaurant reported the fire at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Officials reported heavy fire through the roof of the fast-food restaurant at Manheim Pike and Enterprise Drive. Firefighters were instructed to stay clear of a collapse zone.
At 12:35 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters were continuing to spray water on the flames and officials said the fire was not yet under control.
Multiple explosions were reported. PPL Electric crews were immediately called to the scene for a large transformer on fire, according to radio reports. UGI officials were also responding.
