Fire heavily damaged a historic church in Hainesport (NJ), reports 6abc.com (http://6abc.cm/1DRhcuN)
It broke out at 3:15 a.m. at Easton Bible Church in the 2400 block of Fostertown Road.
Associate pastor Steve Johansson told Action News he was up late because he couldn’t sleep. He said he heard noises and then discovered the fire in a building next to where he and his family live.
Johansson was able to get his family and several pets out safely, along with another family who lives on the other side of the building.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy flames coming from the structure. A second alarm was sounded almost immediately.
