FREETOWN, Ma. – The Freetown Fire Department responded to a house fire at 35 High St. at approximately 11:56 p.m. on Saturday, February 5th. The 2 1/2-story structure was filled with fire when firefighters arrived on the scene, according to WPRI News and South Coast Today.
Damages to the High Street home, owned by Alfonso Oliveira, were estimated to total approximately $450,000. Fire officials could not immediately confirm the cause of the fire but advised that the incident is under investigation by the Freetown Police, Fire Department, and the state Fire Marshal’s office.
