A gunman opened fire at a part on the Halloween party at the University of Southern California (USC) Wednesday. Three people were injured during the shooting.
The Los Angeles Times reported (http://lat.ms/Run070) that a student group was hosting the party and that it was at maximum capacity. A witness said there were about 100 people outside — as well as some campus police — when at least four shots rang out.
Police sources said it was unclear whether the victims or the gunman were students at the campus.
Police officers swarmed the area. USC urged people on campus to shelter in place and keep their doors closed. Two suspects were apprehended.
One victim was critically injured, while two others sustained nonlife-threatening injuries.
