Londonderry (NH) Fire Chief Steps Down, Citing Staffing Issues

The Londonderry (NH) fire chief told the town council that he is stepping down over issues with the fire department budget.

In an emotional resignation speech, Fire Chief Bo Butler told officials he cannot both balance the departmental budget and maintain safe staffing levels at the same time.

The crowd gave the chief two standing ovations, according to a report from WHDH.
