Fire Wipes Out Small Movie Set in NM

According to a report from KOB4, Albuquerque (NM) Fire Rescue (AFR) and the Bernalillo County (NM) Fire Department were dispatched to a fire Wednesday morning at Netflix’s Albuquerque Studios for a “fully involved” fire on a small movie set. 

Units responded to the scene at 5:15 a.m. On arrival, fire crews discovered the small movie set engulfed in smoke and flames. The fire was extinguished and controlled quickly.

AFR Chief Tom Ruiz described the set as a “total loss.” 

No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported.
