Fire destroyed the Full Throttle Saloon, a Sturgis (SD) establishment that reportedly billed itself as the “world’s largest biker bar.”
Crews from the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department responded to the bar at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday and found heavy smoke coming from the building, according to a report on the Argus Leader.
Sturgis Assistant Fire Chief Shawn Barrows says firefighters tried to get inside but heat and smoke forced them to fight the fire from the exterior, the report said.
