This is a photo of a recent training that was put on by the Lowndes County Fire-Rescue in Valdosta, Georgia. The class was a tractor trailer crash victim extrication class and was the first of its type taught in South East Georgia. Two trailers were donated by Roadway Transportation for the class as well as nine cars from GM Salvage in Valdosta. Shown is a modified roof raise using two 60 inch Hurst hydraulic rams on a station wagon that was wedged under the front area of one of the tractor tralers. More than 50 Firefighters, EMS and Tow Truck personnel attended with Hurst rescue tools and Res-Q-Tech rescue tools bringing their newest top-line equipment for demonstration.
