A 27-year-old captain with the North Tazewell Volunteer Fire Department died in a crash in Claiborne County Monday evening.
Tennessee Highway Patrol reported Captain Roy L. Sewell Jr. was driving the Tazewell fire engine on Cedar Fork Road when it ran off the right side of the road.
The truck continued down the embankment, overturning and finally stopping upside-down. Sewell, the only occupant of the vehicle, was wearing a seatbelt at the time if the crash.
