A firefighter was injured while battling a fire early Thursday at a home in Phoenix, Arizona.
ABC 15 reports (http://bit.ly/VyqGUv) that the firefighter, a captain, suffered second- and third-degree burns to his hand. He was taken to the Maricopa County Medical Center Burn Unit.
A fire spokesman said the firefighter was injured in a “flash-type” incident when firefighters opened a hole in the house to pour water onto the fire.
