A 24-year-old firefighter died early Sunday from injuries he sustained in a residential fire in Rapides Parish, Louisiana.
A report on thetowntalk.com (http://townta.lk/1cmGuCt) indicated that Dustin Bordelon was the only person inside the house at the time of the fire, and investigators found evidence at the kitchen stove that suggests the victim was likely cooking something on the stove when the fire occurred.
A release from the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office indicated the house had no working smoke alarms.
Bordelon was a firefighter for the Rapides Parish Fire District 2.
