A firefighter was injured while battling a fire in the Cottage Grove Heights neighborhood on the Far South Side early Saturday morning, reports The Chicago Tribune (http://trib.in/1Cd8HvF)
The fire started sometime after midnight in a two-1/2 story building, said Chicago Fire Department Cmdr. Frank Velez.
The firefighter appeared to have hurt his ankle and was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital for treatment, Velez said.
No other injuries were reported. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire, Velez said.
