A firefighter was injured in an ATV crash while working at a wildfire in Montana, according to news reports.
The Montana Standard reports that firefighter was injured in an ATV accident, and was adjusting hoses in steep terrain at the time. Although the injured firefighter was working alone, a firefighter/EMT working nearby was able to quickly provide emergency care.
Officials said the injured firefighter was in stable condition and doing well.
According to InciWeb, the wildland fire that the firefighter was operating at, the Holter Complex fire, began Sunday due to lightning and has burned 748 acres. Firefighters had a successful day yesterday constructing line and holding the fire within the perimeter.
