Firefighter Injured, One Person Critical After Two-Alarm Rowhouse Fire in Washington, D.C.

D.C. Fire and EMS officials said a home in the 1800 block of A Street, near the Stadium-Armory Metro station, caught fire.


According to a report from NBC4, one person is in critical condition, a firefighter suffered minor injuries, and six residents were displaced after an early-morning two-alarm rowhouse fire that spread to adjacent homes.

D.C. Fire and EMS (DCEMS) officials said a home in the 1800 block of A Street, near the Stadium-Armory Metro station, caught fire.

DCEMS Deputy Chief Michael Knight said firefighters were dispatched at about 4 a.m. Wednesday and arrived to the scene in two minutes. They arrived to find the first and second floors on fire, with black smoke pouring from top-floor windows.
