Firefighter Injured Trying to Save AZ Man Engulfed in Flames

A firefighter was injured trying to extinguish the flames engulfing a man in flames during an early-morning fire at a condo in Tempe, Arizona.

The victim was wheelchair-bound and had major medical problems, according to a report on azfamily.com (http://bit.ly/ADcaB0).

When firefighters arrived on the scene, the man was on fire, as well as his home. One firefighter ran inside without his gear to try and help the victim.

The firefighter extinguished the fire that was devouring the victim, but suffered second-degree burns to his hands. The victim was seriously burned and later died of his injuries.
