•Firefighter MATT MOSELEY of the Atlanta (GA) Fire Department was awarded the 1999 International Benjamin Franklin Fire Service Award for Valor. Moseley performed a helicopter-assisted rescue of construction crane operator Ivers Sims, who was stranded in the crane 250 feet above a seven-alarm fire at the Fulton Bag & Cotton Mill in Atlanta on April 12. The award is cosponsored by the International Association of Fire Chiefs and Motorola.
