No one was injured in a five-alarm Fairfield (NJ) warehouse fire Saturday night, according to news report. Local fire videographer Jeff O’Connor provided video from the scene (see above).
According to a report on NJ.com, firefighters wtih the Fairfield Fire Department responded to the fire at a warehouse containing car parts and furniture just before midnight.

At just before midnight on October 31, 2015 the Fairfield (NJ) Fire Department responded for a reported active fire at the Pio Costa industrial complex, 1275 Bloomfield Ave. Building #3.
While en route, one of the fire chiefs reported smoke in the area followed by heavy smoke and a glow visible. On arrival he declared a working fire in the large, multi-occupancy warehouse with fire already through the roof. The business involved is reported to have stored auto parts and furniture. Live wires were already down and several explosions were occurring within the structure.
A second alarm was requested as companies set up for a defensive attack and working on protecting the exposures. With a heavy fire condition, small explosions continuing in the building, and the need for additional water, command transmitted the third alarm.
Several ladder pipes and deck guns were put into operation as companies made a trench cut on the roof and forced entry into the exposed businesses. Firefighters stretched lines inside which kept the fire to the original business with very minimal extension.
Within two hours, the main body of fire was knocked down, however the fire was not declared under control until 04:30 hours and not before going to five alarms. Companies remained on the scene through the next day because of additional flare ups, no injuries were reported, and the fire is under investigation.
