Firefighters responded yesterday to a fire that destroyed a historic mansion in Newark, New Jersey, according to reports.
The three-alarm fire at the Kastner Mansion, which has been used as an Elks Lodge, occurred Thursday evening and caused a partial collapsed of the structure, according to NJ.com.
No injuries were reported and the structure was vacant at the time of the fire, the report noted. RLSMedia reported that crews made entry to the building to search for squatters that had been reportedly staying in the building.
