Firefighters Battle 4-Alarm Fire on Manhattan's Upper West Side

Almost 200 Fire Department of New York (FDNY) firefighters battled a fire that went to four alarms last night on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

WABC reported (http://bit.ly/PXm0LE) that the fire spread between the second and sixth floors in the six-story multi-family dwelling. Eight firefighters reportedly sustained minor injuries.

Firefighters say the fire started in a wall of a second floor apartment that’s under construction and extended vertically through multiple floors to the structure’s top floor.

An investigation is underway.
