A roaring fire broke out in a warehouse in Garden City Park, New York, on Long Island, just after 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13.
Garden City Park firefighters, with the help of several neighboring companies, battled the blaze at a commercial building which housed the JBH Environmental Company.
One of the buildings walls collapsed early into the operation, raising concerns about the stability of the remaining structure.
Service on the Long Island Railroad’s main line had to be shut down in both directions as a result of the fire, which bordered the tracks.
