Firefighters responded Monday night to a large fire that burned an apartment building in Knoxville, Tennessee.
WBIR reported (http://on.wbir.com/1qS5kAK) that officials believe the fire started in the attic. Crews will still on scene early Tuesday applying water to the structure. At least part of the structure’s roof collapsed, according to reports.
Knoxville Fire Department spokesperson D.J. Corcoran told reporters the fire destroyed at least half of the building, but all the residents made it out safely.
Due to the cold temperatures, firefighters had to contend with problems such as ice in the parking lots.
