Firefighters Battle Three-Alarm Charlestown Fire

A large fire burned apartment buildings in Charlestown Saturday night, reports

Boston firefighters fought heavy flames that scorched the buildings at 42-44 Washington Street.

1 firefighter had to be treated for injuries according to the Boston Fire Department.

The building appears to be badly damaged, firefighters have not released a damage estimate.

No residents of the building were injured.  15 people who lived in the building had to find another place to sleep Saturday night, and the Boston Fire Department said some of those people will need help from the Red Cross.
