Firefighters, City Pay Tribute to Fallen Chicago Firefighter Jermaine Pelt

On Friday, the city of Chicago was poised to say its final goodbyes to fallen Firefighter Jermaine Pelt, who died last week while operating at a residential fire.

It was the second firefighter line-of-duty death funeral in two days for Chicago. On Thursday, April 13, firefighters and loved ones mourned for Chicago Fire Department Lieutenant Jan Tchoryk, who died the same week as Firefighter Pelt while battling a high-rise fire on North DuSable Lakeshore Drive.
