Fire crews are making progress containing the Buckskin wildfire in Southwest Oregon. The fire has been burning for more than a week near Cave Junction and O’Brien, reports opb.org.
The 4,843-acre Buckskin Fire is now 30 percent contained. Much of the eastern flank of the blaze is now under control.
About 540 fire fighters are working to contain the western side of the Buckskin Fire. The fire was caused by a lightning strike on June 11.
