The Hempstead (NY) Fire Department battled the fire on Lawson Street on Saturday evening, April 16, 2022.

Arriving companies found the home engulfed in flames and quickly went to work to knock down the fire. Gusty winds hampered fire operations and mutual aid companies were called to the scene.

Occupants of the house were able to escape to safety. Nassau County Fire Marshals were on the scene to investigate a cause.
