Firefighters Extinguish Five-Alarm TX Apartment Fire

Firefighters battled a five-alarm fire this morning at an apartment complex in northwest Dallas, Texas.

A Dallas-Fire Rescue spokesman told The Dallas Morning News (http://bit.ly/UYUpI7) there were no reported injuries in the fire. Twenty-four apartments were damaged or destroyed in the fire, and about 100 firefighters responded to the incident.

Firefighters found flames shooting through the roof of the two-story stucco building on arrival. The fire soon went to five alarms in an area of densely packed apartment buildings.
