Firefighters Injured in Meriden (CT) Multi-Family Dwelling Fire

Three firefighters were injured early today while operating at a Meriden (CT) multi-family dwelling fire at which a flashover occurred.

NBC News reported that four adults and four children were able to safely escape from the burning home.

One firefighter was burned in a flashover and brought to Bridgeport Hospital to be treated for nonlife-threatening first- and second-degree burns to several parts of his body. Two other firefighters were also hospitalized, one with a burn and other with an elbow injury.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, the report said.
