Two firefighters were injured battling a fire early today that went to at least four alarms in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Smoke and flames filled the inside of a mill building located on Weaver Street, eventually spreading to the roof, according to a report from turnto10.com.

“We had a lot of guys in the roof ripping it apart, it’s real exhausting for them,” District Fire Chief Scott Flannery told reporters.

Two firefighters suffered heat exhaustion and were transported.

Sprinklers were not working inside the structure, so a fire watch had been established, the report said. Firefighters reportedly had difficulty gaining entry, but the man on fire watch was able to show crews a stairwell leading them to the roof.
